Quartz crystal is the most direct coating method trace balance method (QCM design), the instrument evaporation source, can be directly driven by the PID control loop drive panel, keep the evaporation rate.
As long as the instrument connected with the system control software, it can control the entire coating process. But the accuracy of the (QCM design) is limited, in part because of its monitoring is the quality of the coating instead of the optical thickness.
And although the QCM design is very stable at low temperatures, but at high temperature, it becomes very sensitive to temperature. After a long period of heating process, it is hard to stop sensor is sensitive to fall into this area, which cause significant error on membrane layer.
Optical monitoring is the first choice for high precision coating monitoring way, this is because it can be more precise control of film thickness (if used properly).
Accuracy improvement comes from many factors, but the most fundamental reason is the optical thickness monitoring.
